PARIS--Aug 3, 2012--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Group today announced two new management appointments within its Continental Europe region as it continues to invest in building its casualty insurance capabilities and strengthens its service offering for European clients.
Jerome Salmon has been appointed Regional Multinational Casualty Manager, Continental Europe. Based in Paris, Jerome will lead the development of ACE’s casualty underwriting capabilities to serve the specific needs of Europe’s multinational businesses. He will also work closely with brokers and clients to understand their changing insurance needs and further develop and communicate ACE’s customer proposition. The appointment is effective 20 August 2012.
Jerome joins ACE from Chartis France, where he most recently held profit centre management responsibility for the liability department. He was previously segment leader for multinational and major accounts for the department. Jerome has 21 years of insurance industry experience gained principally in underwriting and management roles in Paris, with a focus on European clients.
In addition, Connie Germano, Senior Vice President of National Accounts, ACE USA Excess Casualty, has been appointed Regional Casualty Manager, Middle Market and Life Sciences, Continental Europe. Based in Zurich, Connie will lead the development of a regional strategy to identify opportunities and build capability for ACE’s Middle Market and Life Sciences casualty insurance segments in Continental Europe. Working closely with ACE USA, Connie will also build a regional centre of excellence and support to enhance service for US clients with European casualty exposures. The appointment is effective 27 August 2012.
Connie began her career as an underwriter and has 25 years of insurance industry experience in the US, including 15 years in leadership positions and nine at ACE. Most recently, Connie has served as a US national account segment leader with responsibility for managing a book of lead umbrella and excess liability insurance business. In this role, her key responsibilities have included profit and loss analysis as well as product distribution and development for public and privately held companies with global exposures.
